Legend has it, the original owner of The Ground Level at Crippen place was an elderly Asian man, who went by the nickname "Mr Kim". In honouring his legacy, the venue has recreated the aesthetic of a traditional Chinese night spot, but with a cheeky kitsch influence. Think dragons, lions, fountains and lanterns with the added contemporary twist of pasteups and neon. Plus a sound system which has to be heard to be believed.
With an extensive range of premium sake, infused vodkas like ginger + lemon grass, a market style variety of mangoes, chillies, lychees, coriander, mint, and authentic beers... Mr Kim's endeavours to engage your pallet, open your senses and bring you an exceptional drinking experience, all whilst sitting beneath the glow of a massive tropical fish tank.
